Unless "arrest" is put in scare quotes, I'm not sure what your point is. Miranda rights seem pretty insignificant in comparison to bombing a foreign country and kidnapping their leader.

Well, it's not like the American's have the jurisdiction to arrest people outside of the US anyway so the whole thing is illegal.

I’m surprised they didn’t make the applicant go to inquiry. It would’ve bought them a couple more years before they would be ordered to release it.
