Love Indonesia but certain places are very strict - Banda Aceh for example. They still have public whippings. Bali more westernised due to Aussie tourists but they did blow up a nightclub years ago. Seminyak is my favourite place in Indo. Very secular in the main.

Nah you don’t need prepare, you don’t need to read anything about history or swot up on religions and religious take overs, you just skip off down to the mosque and enjoy yourself. Hope you enjoy the call to prayer at 3am when summer hits and working Sundays. We can revisit this convo sometime

Well I wouldn’t call it fear I’d call it preparedness. I hope we don’t become a caliphate but I like to think I’m aware of what will happen if we do unlike some who pretend to be ostriches. However it is said that ignorance is bliss. #studyhistory

This is sooooo true - I’m from UK so it’s the UniParty that feels they need to do their White Knight act here. My partner knows his religion all too well and why he was very happy when I suggested moving back home - I offered to convert but he said no way! Says a lot

Because they simply cannot fathom that Islam is not the religion of peace that they try to sell. They believe that people who follow it to the letter cannot all be bad. They think through the lens of their own tolerance and acceptance. I know we are not the same. I think you do too. ♥️
