yeah it's really tough at the start and it does feel very overwhelming
i guess there is no shortcut to it but a lot of trial and error
set smaller goals, split stuff into simple task, with time you'll feel progress

if you meant that you're still learning godot and get sidetracked by figuring out the different features then:
make a simple learning project that you will complete. something common. something you can plan out in a simple todo list, so you know you can make it and/or it won't take years to finish

hey I'm no expert by any means nor I have published anything, but the furthest I've went with making a game was when I had everything planned out in a sketchbook, like even some pseudo code.
that meant I always knew what to do next and thus not get lost.
