The Sexual Abuse Network of Canada’s opinion on this election.
Statistics show just how much worse it has become for victims of sexual abuse here in Canada since the Liberals have been in power. They have not only gone back on their promises since they were first elected about these cases, they have only done the opposite and made it easier for offenders to reoffend. Here are some things not covered on the stats they released in the photo.

An Ottawa police officer has been charged with sexual assault, interference, and exploitation. In a Friday afternoon news release, Ottawa police said they first heard two weeks ago about unspecified allegations related to children. They did not share details such as when or where. After checking with the province's Special Investigations Unit, which looks into some kinds of alleged police wrongdoing, Ottawa police said it didn't fit with that mandate and turned to Peel Region police as an unrelated agency.

With the Canadian Online News Act, all Canadian news has been blocked from being seen on any META platforms and has really dampened what we have been doing over the past 17 years, providing a searchable database of sex offenders so parents knew who was near their children. To ensure we never lose thousands of convicted sex offender profiles again, we have installed a new website and are also posting on other social media platforms.

A Windsor Uber driver has been handed a 12-month sentence for sexually assaulting a lone female passenger, but the offender could also face the additional punishment of getting kicked out of Canada once he’s released from jail. It was that threat of “potentially significant immigration consequences” — namely deportation — that had the defence urging a jail sentence of no more than six months less a day for Sevan Halabi.

Canada is left out of the most recent round of what may be the largest global trade war in nearly a century, despite U.S. President Donald Trump signing an executive order on Wednesday for global so-called "reciprocal tariffs." A White House fact sheet released shortly after Trump announced the policy in the Rose Garden said existing tariffs on Canada and Mexico “remain in effect” — including exemptions — “and are unaffected by this order.”
