The end of an era yesterday, the train I first worked alone, and now I’ve worked for the final time… the class 455. Was an emotional morning with a Cobham, and Woking semi fast on my favourite service, to close out my run on these! Icing on the cake having both a /7 and /8.

With my brain successfully frazzled, I am now trained on 701’s! Nice to get a trip down to Windsor as I don’t sign it. Although my assessment train to Hampton Court was chaos due to signalling issues!

An increasing rarity on metro work now, compared to recent times is a 4 car! Was good fun taking it down to Chessy and back. Makes you think stopping in different places to usual, and good for the trainee driver!

Personally very impressed with these Irizar ie trams on the Kent Fasttrack! A nice specification, and lots of passengers commenting on how nice they are, and even calling friends to say they’re on them.
