The newest update added a Battle Pass and the older players are *pissed*.
No such grumbling when a new hairstyle costs x amount.
Also, again. The story, mechanics, etc, have zero pay wall, the only money spent is for character or home plot esthetics. And people SPEND.

This is especially interesting to read because I've been very into Palia lately. The entire game is free to play, but the money is in cosmetics. I have given them 5 American dollars to this end, but buying everything is around $1k and from what I have seen, people spend the money.
