This may be somewhat anecdotal, but ever since Covid is treated like one of those harmless respiratory infections, I see a lot more news stories about how harmless respiratory viruses are not so harmless after all, and can in fact change your life for the worse

It won't stop at anybody brown, either -- they will move on to people who 'fail' at Ideal Whiteness (queer, disabled, wearing a medical mask, etc)
