Abandoned, but not unoccupied. Loving the washed-out color palette btw 😉

The font doesn't feel like it belongs in that book tbh. Dunno how else to put it haha. Maybe try something a bit more pixelated? Other than that, it looks solid, especially if you give it some shading 😄

Cool example of how a few milliseconds of hit-stop plus camera feedback and graphics can massively change how a mechanic feels. And it's always a treat to create impactful parry/counter attacks haha!

Hold on... this *could* have the potential to turn into something bigger and interesting 🤔

If this was like the pizza missions in the Spiderman 2 game, landing that would DEMOLISH the pizza. So the customer would still want it for free haha!

Using the pizza's cheese as a slingshot to propel the truck was very creative though I gotta say 🤣

That style and the tall buildings really remind me of the PS2 Spiderman game. Such nostalgic vibes! Good work hehe 😉

And don't forget the spaghetti code sitting menacingly on top of those tables 😂

I think a better question here is, why is "Walking Sim" depicted as the first step 😅? Instead of things like pong, flappy bird etc..

Honestly, it sometimes even feels like they DON'T want to do it, so they ask around hoping someone affirms their "worry" that, yeah it's too late now, better find something else to do.

It's as if they're looking for an excuse to not put in the effort and do something. Just food for thought haha

Probably still is... but damn does adding rain make them feel even more alive. Very atmospheric too!

True lol! Basically this:

Brain: "We did it!"
Fingers: "We still have to do it..."

And that's why commit messages >> voice calls/conversations 😎

I like it when games let me give a damn. Well, I guess it's "throw" instead of "give" in this case 😆

"You’re telling me I can plant carrots… and dodge arrows?"
October 11, 2025 at 2:10 PM
Classic dev moment lol! That's why it always pays to have one or two spare test machines (or even a good VM setup if you’re on a budget) for those "it can’t be my code… right?" moments 😛

Isn't this basically how playtesting feedback goes sometimes? Don’t tweak, don’t polish… just rewrite the entire rulebook 😛

Love this kind of atmosphere that you can create with simple PS1-like graphics. Great work!

That world seems to be lacking some oxygen. Throw in some 🌳🌲 generation!!

I guess that's an impressive use of C++ and a midi controller 😅 ?

Also an incredibly useful mod for those who don't find the game hard enough already 😆

Well, maybe in the next few years AI will be able to do nearly 100% of the coding for us . . . for better or worse 😅
August 29, 2025 at 6:28 PM
Too accurate. The fact that we can’t NOT do it is both the curse and the magic.
August 22, 2025 at 9:10 PM
That’s actually amazing, and surprisingly clear for such an old 2.2” screen. And of course I am incredibly curious how you managed it xD
