In short: proactively dabble, grasp at mentorship opportunities when they arise, and try to solve problems even if your abilities aren't quite up-to-snuff. Get feedback, and do it all over again.

Eventually, I was building out scripting-heavy, API-inclusive workflows that dramatically helped our team, and helped me land a dream role: that of Scaled Support Program Manager on the Content Operations team!

Began using Javascript as an extension for #Airtable whenever I ran up against that tool's native limitations. Managing our only technical support engineer gave me a someone I could bounce ideas off of, and an encouraging manager helped me focus and scale my efforts!

Joined and regularly participated in a coding club when I was just starting out at #Airtable. This was when Javascript initially started clicking for me...

Took a Web Design course on #Coursera that taught me (more) HTML and CSS, Javascript, and Ruby on Rails.

Absolutely blinged out my MySpace profile in middle school.
