apologies for being verbose, i read Sinclair's The Jungle and Tender Is the Flesh by Augustina Bazterrica this year; the parallels to society at large and the exploitation of the global south eerily reflect current events. permit me some hyperbole, but how long til the "undiserables" become cattle?

without strong unions and a unified working class, there wasn't enough leverage to take the capital owners to task. it's the neo-dickensian era replete with repealed child labor laws and gutting all the safety and regulations workers of the past bled for; and those scars are barely a century old..

honestly, and probably a boomer take from me i'll grant, but i feel like we could do more to revitalize the american dream by reintroducing affordable build-it-yourself housing kits, like they used to promote in sears catalogues. make them compact, universal, modular, ez to build, ez to customize.

He wants so badly to leave his mark on history while not even realizing he's already left an indelible orange shit stain on the very fabric of what it means to be an American. May he and his ilk forever be purged from written and spoken memory.

imo, it isn't complicated. the voters are telling the democrats what they want, it's easily discerned from the protests. the reluctance to change is disheartening, but status quo dems know. they've known. capital owns their very same masters, and it knows only one way; up, to the detriment of all.

All I'm saying is that for once in my life, I want to vote for someone in the general with my full chest instead of limply doing my part for harm reduction. Voting local seems to be the only way to do that, for now..

I promise you, as a radical leftist, all I want for *all* americans(including migrants and even maga) is to thrive in peace and have their struggles lessened. Instead of kicking the ladder away after I ascend, I want to reach back and help the person behind me; as I was helped.

All this to say. We need candidates who will listen to voters and move the needle left without being afraid of donors evaporating. If your donors are that nervous about progress, they were never interested in helping the people. We need fighters, not more crabs in a "big tent" bucket.

Biden didn't have super majority but he did have a tie breaker in the senate and a minor majority house. He sat on codifying Roe until it was too late and 2 CENTRIST dems rat-effed build back better for profit. Just like a dem seeking a chamber seat in NY is seeking to rat-eff Mamdani.

when i was working in the mall in the early 00s, i would always look at the old folks they'd ship in early to walk around for exercise. and i would always scoff.
but now? i get it. i want that for me. i want my graham cracker bones to shuffle through the marble tiles and cookie smells.
