It's mostly game over for these kinds of channels, IMO. If the creator doesn't show themselves in a video, past or present, then I'm under the assumption they're not real.

Watched the reveal live yesterday at the Game Awards and they had an orchestra play music which was different from the trailer. Got them "goosebumps" everyone talks about when a certain bit of nostalgia hits you just right.
