okay but you're not taking into account how it would've looked on a CRT back in the day. things still stuck out but not nearly as much as with upscaled 3d models and blurry pre-rendered backgrounds on a 1080p LCD monitor

I suspect the people who built roads for horses were also pretty upset when cars took them over–but the takeover happened, and new opportunities opened up as well as good things being lost.
