I’m just happy that folk still appreciate old computers, be it the games, the culture, or the hardware. I live for the relative simplicity and ingenuity of old electronics, and the software that drives them.

So it was just the original Sinclair manual for the instruction set, and nights and nights of disassembling and studying games. Happy days!

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know that book. Back in the day in communist Czechoslovakia there were no books available - at least until ’88 or ’89, when an official (but apparently illegal) translation of O'Hara’s and Logan's book was published.

Bought it a couple of years ago and enjoyed it almost as religiously as The Complete Spectrum ROM Disassembly. A must-read - not just for those of us who spent their best years coding in Z80 assembly...
