Quick and messy Ceratosaurus after dealing with the flu from hell the past few days. Debating with myself whether or not to ink it. Yes is winning so far.
(Ceratodaurus is actually one of my favorite dinos, especially after playing the first Jurassic World Evolution game)

Smol boys have all the chicks.
Cannot get over how good Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age was. All of the animals have so much personality! I never paid much attention to Moa’s but after seeing the male make himself smal, smaller, smallest for the female I’m in love!
Quick daily ink sketch.

Quick, 30 minutes or so, very feathery Hatzegopteryx sketch that I’m pretty happy with.
(If you’re wondering about the lines, I use a Moleskine daily planner, one page per day, with paper not meant for drawing to draw every day and feel free to try things!)

#InkTober2025 Day 31: Award. The award for the spookiest animal goes to the ‘hell-pig”, an extinct Entelodont.
And I know the current thinking places them more in the family of hippos rather then pigs. But this is how I first learned about them.
Happy Samhain!

#InkTober2025 Day 30: Vacant. Let’s not jump to conclusions why I chose Arsinoitherium for this prompt. I’m not suggesting anything. Nope. Pure coincidence.
Brushpen with Copic marker and pastel pencil for the highlights.

#InkTober2025 Day 29: Lesson. Andrewsarchus in it’s older, wolf-like version in the back and the more modern hippo-like version in the front. These designs are NOT mine, the old version is from Walking with Beasts and the new version is by Christopher Chavez!
Brushpen, Copics and gelpen.

#InkTober2025 Day 26: Puzzling. Always planned to draw a Calicotherium for today, she just turned into a baby version. Used a baby Tapir for reference and gave her a prehensile lip to browse with once she grows up. Pretty happy with this cutie!
Brushpen, Copic markers and white gelpen. #sciart

#InkTober2025 Day 24: Rowdy.
Two juvenile Cave Lions. They weren’t that different from our modern lions, except bigger and I imagine they had adaptations for the colder weather like thicker, lighter colored fur and smaller ears, so I added that.
Brush pen, Copic marker and gelpen.

#InkTober2025 Day 23: Firefly. A Thylacosmilus, an extinct sabretoothed marsupial-like mammal. Another prompt I had an idea for early on and I love how it turned out. Never drawn one of these guys before, which is one of the things I wanted to do this InkTober.

#InkTober2025 Day 22: Button. A Leptictidium for today, cute as a button! These early mammals resembled modern elephant shrews.
Brushpen, Copic marker and pastel pencil.
Ok, back to playing Jurassic World Evolution 3!

#InkTober2025 Day 21: Blast.
This was one of the first prompts that I had ideas about and it worked out exactly as I hoped. I love Mammoths, ever since my dad showed me a tooth he had found I’ve been fascinated with them.
Really love how this drawing turned out! Brushpen, Copics and gelpen.

# InkTober2025 Day 18:Deal.
“Ok, ok. You don’t tell mom, I don’t tell mom. Deal?”
Two Cave Bear cubs play-fighting.
I don’t often draw bears because they literally give me nightmares and I think it shows but reasonably happy another one down. And all caught up again!
Brushpen, Copics and gelpen.

#InkTober2025 Day 19: Arctic.
Even when you live in the arctic, like this Homotherium did, doesn’t necessary mean you enjoy showfall.
Missed yesterday because I really wanted a day off. I’ll catch up but I’m pretty pleased with today’s drawing!
Brushpen, Copic marker and pastel pencil.

#InkTober2025 Day 17: Ornate. A Palaeoloxodon for today, just realized that’s the third elephant species I have drawn this InkTober. Think it’s clear what my favorites are ;)
Brushpen, Copic and white pastel pencil.

#InkTober2025 Day 16: Blunder. Drew a Castoroides for today, an extinct beaver the size of a bear. Not much to say about this one, kept my InkTober streak going and that’s pretty much it. Brushpen, Copics and gelpen.

#InkTober2025 Day15: Ragged.
Woolly Rhinoceros, shedding it’s winter coat.
Really pleased with this, used some 0,05 Micron pen to get the really fine fur details and the white pencil worked really well to show the old, matted fur. And I think it shows it’s standing in the wind.

#InkTober2025 Day 14: Trunk. Almost halfway through InkTober, keep going everyone!
Drew a Deinotherium today, one of my favorite prehistoric animals. This is based off a museum replica I saw a photo off online and fell in love with.
Brushpen, Copic markers and a little pastel pencil.

#InkTober2025 Day 13: Drink. If you had antlers as big as Megaloceros you’d wade into the water to avoid having to lift all that weight anymore then you had to as well.
Had to cut part of the antlers off and it still spilled onto the previous page. But pretty happy with it!
Brushpen with Copics.

#InkTober2025 Day 12: Shredded. I don’t know who or what pissed off this Smilodon but it’s about to get shredded. Really, really pleased with this one! I knew it would be a challenge when I planned it but it turned pretty awesome. As always, brushpen with Copics and white pastel pencil.

#InkTober2025 Day 10: Sweep.
You don’t want to be on the receiving end of this sweep.
Doedicurus, a relative of armadillos the size of a small car. Brushpen with Copic marker and white pastel pencil. Love this one, had an idea when I first saw this prompt and it worked!

Even one of the largest mammals that ever lived starts out small.
Paraceratherium, brushpen with Copic Markers and some white pastel pencil.

#InkTober2025 Day 8: Reckless.
Was planning to draw an eloborate scene from the time when birds ate horses. But it was one of those days and I’m glad I at least got this guy on paper, Terrorbird Titanis walleri. Based on Blue Rhino Studio’s amazing diorama, brushpen with Copic markers.
October 8, 2025 at 9:43 PM
#InkTober2025 Day 7: Starfish. A starfish with a passing Odobenocetops, a small prehistoric whale. It’s name means ‘walrus-face’. And it’s easy to see why!
First week of InkTober done, feeling good so far! Really love the tinted paper with markers and white highlighting.
