A friend asked if I could make "Open" and "Closed" signs for her store. I thought about it and then couldn't shake the idea of creating a single sign that does both. It was a typographic challenge but I think it worked.

Restrictions are a catalyst for creativity. In designing these sewing bias tape makers, the limitations of FDM meant the guide slot on top of the tool was overly complicated and ugly. Moving it to the bottom allowed easier feeding and resulted in a cleaner design.
