Golden ages are measured by two things:
How long they last, and what wonders they make.
I can't wait to see what we make here... let's ride the wave!
The zone giveth!!!

I've been working on some bracelet designs and learning how to tool with a swivel knife. Hopefully more to come after work gets less busy.

Sometimes your goals seem far away, and there's no end in sight for the onslaught of things in life that come at you in different ways. Your layers of armor and layers of self are susceptible to different types of damage - it can feel like it's only a matter of time until something pierces through.

Inspiration can be taken from elemental themes to help you feel like your actions are backed by an aspect of the world. For example, thinking of earth helps me find balance whenever I stretch or longboard. Thinking of fire inspires me to beat insurmountable odds in a videogame I'm struggling in.

Just like a programmer, you need to Clean Your Inputs.
It's good to be perceptive of the world and events around you - to have your finger on the pulse at least a little. However, to avoid becoming reactionary and despair-prone, the actionable thoughts and ideas in your head need to be your own.

Modus Operandi: How you tackle situations, both planned and unplanned.

This set of working rules built from tested morals and wisdom is essential to refine so you can grow as a person. Use whatever kind of structure that resonates with you best.

Time to test youtube embeds :]

I grew up too quick, but learned to look for the beauty in the world and themes and perspectives and people around me thanks to powerful forms of art like this. In some ways, I see more wonder now than I did when I was younger.

A funny little pose that I made a while ago of Lav using Ueza as a sword. Though I couldnt think of a proper sword pose so I just made em hold Ueza like scout from TF2 lmfao

Next on my bluesky catch up, the true first entry to my massive Yap Poly project. I'm proud to present Lavender, the OC of the wonderful @orchid9.bsky.social

As a start to the whole thing, it makes me really proud that I could make something like this really.

This piece is a reminder that although you may be on cooldown, or need a new kind of inspiration to keep it interesting, art is not finite. You can't run out of source. There's so much to find and capture if you tune yourself just right.

Tarot cards have always been pretty neat to me - life is all about perspectives and tarot is like a perspective generator!

You do need a level of reverence, self understanding, and an open mind to see whats behind them, but past that you can make Tarot pulls yours in any way you like.

This is probably my favorite piece of this summer.

It concerns multiple themes - most importantly the movement of creativity past logos.

There are many logical thoughts that will stop you from creating something seemingly absurd, but don't forget that creativity itself is a form of logic.

Any project, art or otherwise, needs boundaries. We're predisposed to want everything we do to be grand.

We'll get there, but the best artists know how to temper the scope of each project with the limits of their current skill. This way, it gets done, and by extension, your learning gets done.

I've only recently made enough self progress to get with a psychologist to treat my adhd.

The main thing I've had to remind myself is that the right medication is not going to be a silver bullet - but I feel like I can finally hope.

I picked up a book to go with my learning process.

The Creative Act: A Way of Being

It's full of short, condensed perspectives on an artist's relation with art. While a little heavy on reverence, I can't get through more than a chapter without a new inspiration forming.

Time to catch up on posting the stuff I've made since the start of this summer. Most of it being acrylic marker, I've done some pastels but don't have a good way to digitize them just yet. Enjoy!
