What does it take to stop putin from murdering Ukrainians?

What it would really take to stop Putin fighting in Ukraine
As peace talks continue in Berlin, what - if anything - could potentially change Putin's mind? And could Europe do anything differently?

The US joined the New Axis Evil in voting against a Ukrainian resolution aimed at strengthening international cooperation and minimizing the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster.
Trump may accelerate the US accession to the New Axis of Evil.

The true unemployment rate must be well over 10%.
Delivery drivers with college or advanced degrees who used to have office jobs are common.

This office building is in a prime location of a provincial capital. It is essentially vacant.

I’m glad to receive the Knight International Journalism Award. This award isn’t just for me—it’s for every journalist who risks their life to shine a light in dark places. It’s for the three Russian journalists killed in Central African Republic in 2018. It’s for you, my friends

"75% of researchers in the US are considering leaving the country...scientists seeking employment outside of the country has risen by 30%"
The brain drain has a high inertia. It is slow to start and will last long after the Trump administration even if the next administration reverses some policies.

I was, still am, as anti-Iraq War as anyone could be, so I thought Cheney was the worst VP. I never imagined a future VP would be so much worse than him. He looks like a saint in comparison with the current VP.
How did Dick Cheney, the onetime designated villain of the Iraq War, somehow mutate into a hero of the anti-Trump constitutional resistance? The answer, writes @davidfrum.bsky.social, is that there was one Dick Cheney all along:

My last post on X was October 10. I still intend to keep my account so that I can search my own posts for references.

Some studies suggest that cognitive decline accelerates after 75. Trump is 79 now.
Numerous studies suggest the correlation between obesity and cognitive decline. Trump's BMI is over 30.
Folks in the White House should do something to decelerate Trump's ageing for the interest of our country.
Trump did it again. He was really struggling to stay awake at the C5+ 1 meeting.
Someone in the White House needs to do something to prevent this embarrassment. Maybe a cup of strong coffee prior to these events.
He can be vigorous for a long time as long as he speaks.

If you see a car way ahead of others after a traffic light turning green, it is likely an EV. You may need an expensive race car to match an ordinary EV's acceleration.

EV adoption is inevitable not because of environmental concerns but because of economics.
The total ownership costs of EVs are rapidly coming down to below ICE counterparts.
EVs offer better affordability, more comfort, convenience (most charge EVs at home), and higher performance.

"Farley told CBS...Chinese car companies pose an 'existential threat'... put homegrown automakers out of business."
With Trump hitting EVs hard in the US and his buddy Orban working hard to promote Chinese EVs in Europe, the PRC's lead in EVs is guaranteed at least for the next 3 years.

The average EV price in the PRC is ¥158k ($22k).
It is $58K in the US.
The most expensive part of EV, battery, has its price dropping steadily. The battery cost will soon drop below the cost of a comparable ICE car's engine.
The US could easily lead the battery innovation without Trump's hindering.
