This stuff was incredibly popular in the '70s. John Clappison did a lot of design work for Hornsea Pottery, including some very cute mugs.

I could theoretically drop a chunk of cash on one of the job-lot sets that crop up on eBay, but I kind of prefer the incremental collection approach because it's a low-stress sidequest and gives a nice little nugget of dopamine each time.

The new objective is to assemble a useable selection of dinnerware to match the pattern of these pleasing mugs.

Hornsea was very popular in the '70s and there's still a fair bit of it floating around at not-unreasonable prices, so it's hopefully pretty achievable.

Brief relapse into the Vintage Ceramics Arc, I just saw a Hornsea Heirloom coffee pot in the wild at the local charity shop. It's not the colour I want but it's at a pretty good price compared to eBay so I am tempted to do some pottery arbitrage.
