Yeah, last year I forgot to do this until spring and got a bill with penal interest from my pension fund for being late to pay myself which I found quite funny. But it's legally required I guess.

I'm bad at this and have been hit quite bad with pension payments being higher than I expected so the last few months of this year I'm just trying to save up all the extra freelance money. Fortunately I usually get a bit of a tax rebate that can cover a chunk of the back taxes from freelance.
