Generous of Space Syntax to share a national connectedness map. It necessarily only covers the main links but here in Canterbury goes to show why the ring road around the city walls is often chocker as these routes are most connected locally spacesyntax-openmapping.netlify.app#14/51.2799/1...

I love the restrained interwar simplicity of Grøndals Church on edge of Frederiksberg built 1928 in National Romantic Late Gothic design by architect Julius Smith. Sits on a Y junction of giant interwar roads

Other unsung spaces I love in Copenhagen are the once modest (but prob now really expensive) potato row houses with their narrow streets and homezone segments

Was passing the Niels Bohr building at Cph University and couldn't help wondering how the running costs seem to have blown some of the Landscape Architecture programme www.landskabsarkitekter.dk/Aktuelt/neds...

Some of Copenhagens most impressive spots are the unsung community spaces like this BaNanna Park. Born out of local protest against mote development

New CWIS targets just motherhood and apple pie? Need SMART targets. ”Increase % of walking & cycling stages /person by 2030” doesn't compare to ”double cycling by 2025” of earlier versions

Encouraging to see my city has at last spent some cash on improving this cycle route (NCN1). VFM shown with...erm, a new sign for very tall people on cycles, or perhaps penny farthing riders. Maybe a taster of what long-awaited LCWIP will achieve

Seems to hinted at with a half forgiving 12mm upstand swen better here. Which tactiles would you lose with step? Entry kerbs might also avoid need for Give Way markings too

While jeg elsker Danmark and Copenhagen in particular, the sooner these are just internationally known as side road junction crossings and standardised the better

Man in his conservatory on BikeHubs website explains how to use these new lockers, though without a bike. I worked out it involves 15 steps (!) to get your bike in one first time. Well intentioned but clunky and too much friction compared to a car park app. I hope my booking for next week works.

Enjoyed funally seeing award winning The Avenue in Saffron Walden today. Loved the shingle cladding on some homes. One resident said he loved it.. but there were a lot of leaves!

Feeling levelled up. Before and after of public realm works at Canterbury bus station. Some nice buff surface for buses to spill their active hydraulics on, and cycle parking removed at one end. Have footways gained a few cms? Good that those trip hazards are gone tho

If you are in Canterbury on Saturday morning, drop in to the Cathedral to see the Hop Hoodening "a uniquely Kentish celebration of the hops and harvest". Service at 11 am

Stopped at the Black Prince's Well in Harbledown, tho not for a drink. Edward was supposed to have bathed here for his illnesses on way to Canterbury cathedral

If it's not a kissing gate or steps it's friction from a 'No Vehicles' sign on the cycle route NCN1 Whitstable. Sign means 'No vehicles except pedal cycles being pushed by hand'. Surprising to see some doing just that as I snapped

When you find out there is a street named after your great grandfather on the other side of the world... and it's totally underwhelming. Hokitika
