But at least its closest relatives remain. The roan antelope also has a similar muzzle shape, coloring, and ears.

I just love dragons with thin curved necks and sharp beaks) There is something bird-like about them.

In fact, it is the closest relative of modern white-tailed deer, which in turn is a distant relative of moose) They are in the same tribe.

I have similar thoughts. Giraffes, albeit different species, may have once roamed my country, too. How strange...
orsomoretti.bsky.social
I agree. Beautiful and unusual.

Yes, I'm also sad that he's gone...

Bretzia pseudalces- deer from the early Pliocene of North America.
Since pollen from trees of the genus Taxodium and evidence of seasonal accumulation of deer were found, I tried to depict one of these forests during the period of leaf fall.

Some fossil shells. I collect modern species, but sometimes I can't resist the pleasure of acquiring fossils. Camptonectes (Boreionectes) breviauris (Taumyr, Russia), gastropod core (Saratov region, Russia), Ampulina sp. (Dax, Landes, France)

And now a little fantasy. I wanted to depict my character as a dragon. I'm not sure it looks like one, but I'm happy with the dragon. And some fragments for detail.
