I live in a city where immigrants did all of this and more: They’ve saved the city from itself.
They’ve packed it with children, small businesses, and immaculate multi-generational homes.

I’m smitten. It’s a particularly loving act of resistance to engage in on behalf of our homeless neighbors on SNAP. A hot meal while living on the streets during winter can be magical, especially when traveling to the nearest soup kitchen requires a silly amount of time and energy.
