from yesterday's exploration stream!! i was only half listening while at work but he was contemplating locations and inspirations for a possible new base (my friend said he previously wanted to make a new apoc base after end civ got found + compromised)

sb saying he never destroys without a purpose... he doesn't appreciate mindless destruction for the sake of destruction and that proves apoc's m.o. with what they've been doing so far. it's always been about cool factor more than about demonstrating raw power

like sorry-not-sorry about the slander but one team is clearly playing really cool about being villains and the other is playing hero while being half the reason why nobody wants to log on. and then they still bug apoc for a fight even when they don't want to fight For Good Reason

the entire 4c-jumper war arc ended with 4c's entire team feeling bad about the outcome. di were nothing but kind to bing and yet they were still betrayed. mapicc taking repeated Ls earlier in the season. rek getting killed Only by steve duo just to lure out minute.

meanwhile a lot of experiences surrounding bing have been negative purely because they want fights and kill people. over the course of s7 i've seen way more people who have interacted with bing feel pissed off about them because they strike fear through sheer power and then laugh in their faces

it's made even more cool and exciting because they're pushing the limits of the server and even the game itself, and it makes for amazing content, which is probably exactly what they want! they want eyes to be on them and for people to respect them! and they do it in such a positive way for villains

if apoc's goal is to strike fear and wariness in everyone's eyes, they have succeeded through awe and impressiveness. trying to get all the netherwart, the osc, the entire end arc have all been crazy because these things are scarily ambitious and they've pulled it off with flair.

dare i say... the point of bing wanting a fight is just so they can laud the victory over apoc who they perceive as the big bad evil... but it really means nothing to apoc AS A TEAM (individually, this is likely a very different story) to win or lose in a pvp fight.

like looking past "emotional support pvper doesn't log on", having a big fight that determines who's right and who's wrong isn't apoc's style. they know they're villains and they prove that through their plans and the show they put on, not by killing people or hoarding hearts and winning fights
