The AN/APS-154 AAS (Advanced Airborne Sensor) is a multi-function radar pod mounted under the fuselage of select P-8s. It provides wide-area surveillance, allowing the Poseidon to track surface vessels, vehicles, and even coastal infrastructure with precision across long ranges.

The P-8A Poseidon - the U.S. Navy’s primary maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft - recently receiving two key upgraded systems. The MUOS satellite upgrade enabled Poseidons to share targeting data and sensor feeds in real-time with ships, submarines, and ground units.

Upon arrival officers discovered a two-car accident involving a government vehicle. The driver of one vehicle was transported to a local hospital, conscious and breathing, by DC Fire and EMS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Early this morning, an Army Joint Light Tactical Vehicle was involved in an accident with a civilian car on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.

D.C. Police confirm to me that the driver of one of the vehicles was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
