i am in the same category. barely time to listen to myself, BUT trying to make time to listen to @seanmcarroll.bsky.social haha, it is more interesting and insightful

cooking is an exceedingly impractical waste of time (unless done at scale)
eating is overrated

i'd say you can retain the 'art' part with strong vision: if vision is the driving force, no amount of additional people will make it less art
when it becomes diluted and becomes design by committee - now we have a problem
and when someone says "we need more content for consumers" - rip #gamedev

a paradox: 8 years "in the making", but actual production ... same amount but in months? seen it with too many games

i prefer to look at games not as work of art, but as an RnD project (made with mad love): it better be not dated when it comes out. art might be timeless, games better be timely

it is the "crazy timelines" that raised my eyebrows tbh - as in, too many years, or not enough time?

making something fun for EVERYONE is the factual culprit of things being watered down into oblivion

i am hoping that reasonable people with positive attitudes have not stopped migrating just yet

seen someone making a robot that folds t-shirts, which is RL-based, that was pretty neat
i think best future of AI is robotics and synthetic datasets (driving cars, packaging, storage, you name it)
rewriting my big brain text dumps into corporate-sounding borefest with 1 click? hard pass

hello, this is my stuff from years ago, lately been focused more on 3d art, but yeah. some works from 2020s and before that

hey everyone, happy to be a part of this growing community. working on a solo project, apart from janky tech tests not exactly showable, but this will change *soon*

it is a clever plot to sell more hardware tied to software (and vice versa, win win) based on FOMO
