Nicely done. Interestingly, it is believed that the Helix object is actually a tube shape with one end of the tube facing Earth, so more of a tunnel than a round object - we are looking into one end of the tube or cylinder.

Happy New Year. We are indeed made of star stuff, in fact, our atoms have likely been part of several different stars that had to explode to make their contribution, possibly spanning billions of years (hydrogen) and multiple supernovas in the making (later heavier elements).

Interesting. So, does the presence of iron in the remains suggest a Pop I or Pop II star?

Good luck. And, of course, take care with the plastic wrapped around the scope, since moisture might condense underneath.

Nice image. Do you know the specifics of the integration and processing?

It's accurate and appropriate.

Chris - any suggestions for a citizen science project for teen astronomy club in Mexico with access to a small observatory with a guided medium refractor telescope, 7 LRGBHaSIIOIII filters?

I am an astrophotographer who operates a small observatory in the mountains of Baja California Sur, Mexico. I am working with local high school students who have formed an astronomy club, which is also affiliated with a larger area astronomy club.

Rosette Nebula, also known as Caldwell 49, the open cluster within is NGC 2244. Nice image.

Ok. And "small and self-gravitating", not associated with a black hole or potential dark matter central entity? Interesting.

Absolutely. And number two to fingerprint scan recognition in the growing list of physiological biometrics. The physiological list accompanies the behavioral list (signature, etc.) Between the two growing lists there are around 15 total line items. Very dystopian.
