Another horrific series of press rights abuses tonight at hands of LAPD.
Initial reports are 4 journalists injured (several bleeding), 3 cameras broken, 5 put in zip ties.
All in defiance of state law, a judge's order, and chief's signed order.
LAPD can't police itself. Maybe the judge will.

I've seen a lot of love for WIRED, Rolling Stone, etc., but IMHO the American Prospect absolutely deserves to be in the conversation in terms of "small publications contributing outsized value in useful information."
NEW: I heard from some sources that custodial budgets didn't rise to meet the added demand in federal buildings with return to office mandates. And so trash cans are overflowing, sinks are clogged, and bathrooms are out of toilet paper. The traumatizing is the point.
