I'm a retired teacher enjoying my free time. Karate is my life. I live in a commuter town near Sapporo, Japan.
There is an old saying in Japan: "a once‑in‑a‑lifetime encounter." It means that every meeting is unique, and we may never meet again.
So, we should become good friends right away—never betray each other and create good memories together.

On January 7th, many Japanese people eat "rice with seven herbs' to ward off disease and evil.
This tradition started more than a thousand years ago. But I have never eaten it in my life! haha

As it snowed heavily on the surface, many people walked through the underground passage. On either side, there were stores and restaurants.

In summer, this building was green, but now it’s brown. See you in April when you’re green again.

Snow, snow, and more snow! It’s December now, when snowfall is relatively scarce, but in January, it snows a lot. I need to be ready for heavy snow then.

These are photos of the snow in my town. It has snowed 4.9 feet (149 cm), but the accumulation is only 1.1 feet (33 cm) so far this winter, which means most of the snow has melted.
