You may have religious, philosophical or practical objections to my Golden Rules and that's fine. Some of them seem like no more than maxims until you examine them more closely. In any case, these are some of the words I try to live by.

Do not "cast pearls before swine". Do not "paint the roses red". Do not "put lipstick on a pig". Don't fix it if it isn't broken.

Treat others as you would like them to treat you. First, do no harm. Share and share alike. Wait your turn. Live and let live. Mind your own business. Always bear in mind the Greater Good which includes the Common Wealth.

I also believe in the primacy and necessity of the Golden Rules - which are "in" all religions (somewhere) but actually stand alone as a code of conduct for being a good human/citizen/neighbor:

I'd to connect with like-minded, good-hearted people in constructive, supportive and positive ways on all manner of topics. I would describe my views on all things as open-minded, egalitarian, curious, flexible, creative and pro-science and reason.
