What I’ve been going through rather than the tips, are the emails back and forth between the AUSAs. So far I’ve focused on what evidence they mention. There has been some rumor that much of the hard drives went missing before being recovered. Their being listed as evidence items bucks that idea.

If we don’t have a truth and reconciliation process in this country to try to bridge divides on basic facts and reasserting the rule of law, then we’re going to end up right back in the same place. It doesn’t mean it will be successful, but I think we should try.

Reconciliation is for the public. Consequences are for the leadership and administration. Reconstruction is for everyone.

I’m over 40 and he was before my time as a voter. The main people who care about defending him are in the same octogenarian cohort that sorely needs to leave office. I feel no need to launch any sort of defense for him and I don’t know why others do. If he’s clean, he’s clean. If he’s not, he’s not.

Hey, they’re just incurious failsons and faildaughters. Don’t be too hard on them. They need to continue to not bite the hands that feed them or they might have to get real jobs outside of their current stenography gigs.

Whatever pull you still have with Bari Weiss, use it to just flag your disappointment. No need for more than that. I remember you saying that you had that connection. Sometimes that means letting them know when you disagree.

The Civil Rights struggle was called the Second Reconstruction. We’re on the third. It doesn’t have to look like the first one necessarily, but I agree that we need to think big about it. Half measures will just condemn us to defeat or dissolution in a decade or less. That’s the cost of failure.
