I really think I’d be more into this game if I didn’t already play games like No Man’s Sky and Starfield.
People love to glaze the story but (so far) it’s a predictable Halo-esque story where the Reapers are like the Flood and the Geth are acting as the Arbiters

Starfield has so much meta commentary and I just love it. Ryujin mocking the cutthroat nature of big corpos, the overdesigned quest from Walter I swear is Bethesda trying to make Starfield and is a commentary on the process.
Plus the whole Unity adventure is a meta commentary on its NG+.

Agreed. I love the fact that Kingdom Come challenged me to BE Henry and start from nothing. Enjoy the adventure. Forget the power fantasy for one game, as much as I love those kind of games. Struggling? Find a different route!
I think we as gamers & creators really need to stop talking about things we hate and just talk about things we love (I'm guilty of this too).

Star Trek TOS I bet was wild when it was airing in the 60s. It even is today but just thinking about what it would have been like waiting weekly back then.

Ok so I’ve been trying some games. NBA2k25 is one I got for cheap around Xmas. As a basketball sim, it plays well. In terms of the game being centered around monetization, it’s gross. You CAN progress naturally but they make it a crawl unless you at least buy a season.

I might have to install monster Hunter world. Apparently I own it, don’t remember buying it but I did 😂 I’ve never played any of them but I like dragons dogma and Souls games so I think I’m in.

Hey @dezinuh.bsky.social I’m playing Shattered Space again and I get the feeling Va’ruun took quite a bit of inspiration from Dune. Also, I’m reading that book now for the first time. Loving all the sci-fi nods to different franchises in this game. Also, Starfield got me to watch Star Trek 🤣🤓

The new Starfield playthrough is going quite well! I locked myself out of the dream home so now we’re running some light mods since I had to mod myself back in the house.

Nier Automata was fantastic! Now it’s time for Kingdom Come Deliverance. I lost a fist fight to a drunk, died multiple times trying to run from the invading army, but ya know, it’s a blast!

Speaking of FromSoft, I always have one of their games going as a playthrough. I decided to start a new marathon with demon’s souls. The levels are so brutal lol I might just have to move to dark souls 1 and circle back later. I’ve already beat it once before.

Well Elden Ring Nightreign is definitely not my thing. I’ll admit there were a couple of matches where I had great teammates and it was fun. I think it’s just so different to why I play FromSoft titles that I can’t get tuned in. In terms of connectivity and performance, everything worked as intended

Third, Starfield will get some playtime this weekend. My new Captain has been fun, I’ve gone out of my way to take my time and survey the planets I get sent to, before I move on. Sarah keeps hitting on me though…..

Secondly, I’m playing through the third run on Nier Automata. I enjoyed doing the first part again as 9S. Now we’re in a whole new uncharted territory as A2.
