This, however, is valuable, as symbolic of general public knowledge of "merit", including journalists, politicians, business people and presidents. We are jerked around by incompetent Dunning-Kruger people making policy such as No Child Left Behind AYP, quietly abandoned, having crashed and burned.

If you're 65 now, full retirement age is already 67. Doesn't, and shouldn't mean that you can't receive benefits at 65. It's your retirement $, you should be able to access it. This is just an argument about reducing benefits. You wanna be 65 with no income? Only for other people, right?

Their only (flimsy) rationale for having Denmark make a deal to turn over Greenland was that we would use it to defend the free world from Arctic incursions by the Russians. Of course by now we've told Europe to eff off, we're not defending anyone. And we're (still) besties with Putin. Now what?

Any administrator resisting firing this faculty member would themselves immediately be fired (or forced out) by the Texas A&M system Chancellor. They can't afford to lose this one. A lot of ugly history to this case. www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/edu...
