Proud to co-sign this letter calling for further support for our community pharmacies. I’ve been advocating for a solution to fund pharmacy services in a way that doesn’t rely on retail sales. Having a pharmacy within GP surgeries just makes sense, and it’s something we need to prioritise.
The future of many pharmacies is in doubt, with 900 closures expected by the end of 2027.
If the Government is serious about shifting more care away from hospitals and into the community then community pharmacies must be supported.

The danger is that we engage in the wrong argument: we say "we must defend democracy", & the other side thinks "yes we must - against unelected lawyers, civil servants, losing parties & obstructive parliaments". We need to persuade people that those things are good for democracy, not obstacles to it
