Wow, Blazblue Entropy Effect X completely changed the entire framing of the story from what I played at launch. So far it seems for the better as it actually is connecting in a way to the Blazblue story

Blazblue Entropy Effect X is releasing this week on console and I'm absolutely excited. I played the PC version a bit during early access and shortly after it's full Steam launch so I'm confident it's going to be a blast.

So is 2XKO going to be another fighting game failure like DNF Duel? Firing so many of the devs not even 2 weeks after launch does not inspire confidence that it will have a good future. Like DNF Duel it has a solid foundation and fluid gameplay, but halted momentum quickly with limited rosters.

In a perfect world, ID age verification for social media seems like a decent solution. Then you realize we don't live in a perfect world and you can't guarantee that your ID can ever be safe with these platforms. It's entirely unsafe to be giving away your ID for the sake of "age verification"

Didn't think that Yakuza/Like a Dragon could go from beloved to hated in just one entry, but recasting a character with an actor responsible for multiple sexual assaults and doubling down on it will certainly do the job.

So far I'm really enjoying the new expansion for Monster Train 2. The new Railforged clan provides an interesting strategy to build around and I'm so glad to see the Wurmkin return. Haven't played the new mode yet though. The only bad thing is that it kind of makes the first game obsolete now.

I finally finished the story in Death Stranding. Wow am I glad I gave the game a try for myself otherwise I would have been stuck with a skewed perception of it forever. I had so much fun with it and now I want to play Death Stranding 2 even more.

Highguard seems more like Evolve than Concord. Concord is a game with zero reason to exist. Highguard has some elements to it that are interesting and unique, but it's surrounded by poorly thought out design choices and said uniqueness isn't enough to keep people invested long term.

I'm really having fun with Death Stranding, more than I expected. It didn't really sound like something I'd find enjoyable, but I'm glad now that I gave it a try. I really hope Death Stranding 2 is released on Xbox some time this year.

I'm trying Death Stranding for the first time and am about a couple hours in. So far Hideo Kojima's wacky delivery simulator is...wacky indeed. I don't think words can describe my feelings yet.

Starting to reach why I gave up on Octopath Traveler the first time. The final section. A perfect example of a game that's a fantastic experience for 90 percent of it, but the final 10 percent (the true final mission) completely destroys all the fun you were having and ruins the whole thing.

I'm only now starting to realize how truly amazing Octopath Traveler's music is. On my first playthrough I thought it was pretty good but never thought much beyond that. Now on my second playthrough, I listened a lot closer and absolutely fell in love. Hope I'll equally enjoy it in the next games.

It's pretty sad to see Metroid Prime 4 joining the games suffering from being in development hell club. It still seems fine, the game looks like it plays well, but aspects of it definitely read like they've been rewritten or messed around with dozens of times.

The most interesting thing about 2025 was who actually won the worst game publisher. The award goes to Roblox. If you know, you know. Say what you will about ActiBlizz, EA or Ubisoft, at least they don't openly boast of their gross negligence of actual criminal activity happening against children.

Trials is a great series. I love silly motorcycle game with physics and goofy ragdoll. It's almost like a hybrid of a racing game and a platformer. Also a great game for speedrunners who love to try and shave milliseconds off their best times to keep getting better.

Battlefield 6's campaign is a campaign of all time...so not much different from BF3 and BF4. I'll still take a dull and vanilla story mode over BO7 which offends me on every level by its mere existence despite me never really intending to play it.

So this year has ended up being one of the worst years of my life and now I'm really struggling to find any reason to keep going. The world clearly wants me to not exist and I honestly don't want to live in the world we're living in now.
