A photo of Cobo Bay, Guernsey, in 1983 with a sample of the Cobo Granite (adamellite), an attractive pink granite, approx 570 million years old. Consists of potassium-rich orthoclase feldspar, giving it a pink colour, with grey plagioclase feldspar, glassy quartz and small black biotite mica crystals.

Across and up a bit to the crater Plato Below Plato, centre, the bright crater Copernicus with the rays. SW of Copernicus, back to the terminator, the ‘sea’ of Mare Humorum with the crater Gassandi cutting in to its northern edge, with a good central peak. Across to the similar peaked crater Bullialdus.
