I think they just want instant gratification/online clout and also trying to game the monetization systems of Facebook, Instagram etc. Not about art at all.
Speaking for myself, anger about the rise of AI was a big part of why I finally restarted making art for my own sake after a 10 year hiatus.

I get around this by buying a new USB hard drive every few months and never remembering what is on any of them

One of my favorite games of all time! Nocturne looked great on a CRT TV with fuzzy bloom effects giving it a surreal feeling. The remaster is a big mechanical improvement but doesn't feel quite the same on a crisp modern display.

This is so cool as usual and also you have some kind of sixth sense of timing with what old games I am currently playing. I was playing King's Field 4 when you posted the map of it and just started MP2 a few days ago.

You've produced some really cool work this year! I've also been feeling bad that people are posting these and I can't do one with every month filled out either, but the important thing is that we are making time to create artwork and share with people and it's something to be proud of.

Yeah I probably sounded like a dick but Ubisoft is notorious for "log in to play a single player game" and most other companies don't make you do it. At least when I played the new Prince of Persia last year I could hit "NO" enough times that it eventually gave up and actually let me play the game.

There are a million good indie games coming out and also some other AAA or smaller companies that don't pull as much BS
