Also; it’s 10 PM. Most folks are trying to sleep, and some of them can’t even without your noise. You’re gonna wake up the whole neighborhood with your antics and have all of them sleep-deprived and angry, I hope you’re happy.

Adding to this; some people have hearing sensitivities or actual fucking PTSD related to loud noises or explosions, and y’all are just gonna ignore that possibility and set off some fancy crash-bangs because… why? Because of some 300-year-old holiday started by old capitalist men?

Can we maybe not celebrate a ‘Murican holiday in the middle of tyranny by an aggressively ‘Murican cult leader? That’d be great.

(Thankfully, I also have a very clingy cat who came back to cuddle, and it’s hard to feel nauseous with him curled up on my lap being cute.)

Instead, I got to the point where there were images of his skin peeling off and footage from a camera they sent into his stomach, and my brain just won’t get rid of it. I’m watching lighter videos and that’s helped a lot, but every now and then I’ll flash back and regret my life choices. Ugh.

Then, halfway through my protein bars, I stumbled upon a channel I’ve seen before that covers some of the darker/crazier incidents of the world, including a video on a guy who died from extreme radiation poisoning. I’d seen it before, so I figured I’d skim it and stop before it got too graphic.

To anyone who is against this scrubbing; I stand with you. Keep going. Keep the knowledge alive, even if it’s hard to stomach. I’m with you.

To whomever is behind this scrubbing of information; I don’t fear you. I don’t hate you. I just pity you, because you’re so afraid of things you don’t agree with or understand that you have to pretend they don’t exist.

Much as Jews kept existing during the Holocaust, and LGBT+ folks kept existing whenever and wherever they were outlawed, those things you’re trying so hard to deny won’t stop existing just because you removed them from the record. It’s like trying to say the moon is gone– we can all still see it.

You can’t stop people from believing. You can’t stop people from remembering. You can’t stop people from re-recording the facts after you removed them. You can’t change reality.
