yeah, particularly with success on the show already being effectively restricted to teams from unis that do quizbowl - in the years that quizbowl has been a thing in the UK, no university that doesn't/didn't partake in it has ever won a series.

I think preventing repeat appearances is good for forcing variety. Maybe if like Mastermind, you could be back on sooner if you're out in R1. People often are surprised when I tell them that once you're on once, that's it (unless you're Ian Bayley or Robin Bjattacharyya!)
