I worked for the USDA-ARS about 15 years ago. Studied greenhouse gas emissions from ag fields. Great group of scientists just looking for new/improved ways to farm. It really sucks work like this and the work of these other agencies isn't valued.
Confirmed layoffs of 900 probationary employees at Indian Health Service (IHS) and approximately 800 at Department of Agriculture (USDA), mainly in the agriculture research service, per agency sources.
