My cat has no patience for my shenanigans

I went for a walk at the Seascape resort today.

And now they have all moved off of the pupping beach and onto the fine, safe-from-meddlesome-humans rock.

Last night (two weeks into doing this), I realized I was understanding at least 80% of things. I didn’t know all the words, but they were understandable from context. It’s a huge change in understanding.

I wish I had more psycholinguistics friends to ask about this. The change has been extreme.

The first night, it was like, blah-blah-blah mucho blah-blah-blah-blah-blah mesa, and such. I thought I was crazy to think that would work. 

The second night, it was so much better. I recognized the scenes better, even though I still couldn’t understand full sentences often.

For years, I have listened to an audiobook while I sleep. I listen to the same book for years, and recently it was Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.

Since I have been studying Spanish via Duolingo (and binging on Spanish-language music), I decided to buy Sentido y Sensibilidad instead.

The harbor seals at Wilder got a late start on breeding season this year because of the storm. Last year by this time they had moved off the beach.
