CRF staff, participants, visitors and people who came to our events have been working hard over the summer, to co-create a stunning mosaic. The design reflects the quiet, calm space of our courtyard garden where it will be installed.

Come back in November to see the finished piece of artwork!

Had a brilliant afternoon at the Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Induction. Fantastic to meet so many new colleagues ready to make a difference, deliver outstanding care, and explore how research and innovation can shape the future.

Welcome to the Trust!
Two members of the R&D team stand in front of the department stand. The table has a pale blue covering with the Oxford Health NHS Trust logo. TO the left and right are large banners, with the name of the department and the NIHR 'Get Involved in mental health and dementia research' information. There are numerous leaflets on the table.

CRF Team Lead Debbie Moll has graduated with an MSc in Professional Practice (Physical Healthcare) from Oxford Brookes University. Her dissertation explored whether people with aphasia find slower speech easier to understand.

Filiz Bristow from Oxford Health NHS Trust graduated alongside Debbie.

Deborah Moll, CRF Team Lead, co-authored a scoping review on economic evaluations in Speech & Language Therapy.

The evidence is growing, but we need a more coordinated research approach to understand SLT's economic value. Great collaboration with University of Lancashire, RCSLT, and fellow SLTs.

Some of our staff have spent the morning at Rose Hill Community Centre. These events help us connect with local communities, to discuss mental health, learn about their priorities and showcase some of our research.

We also got lots of help with the new mosaic for our courtyard!
A little girl stands in front of a table covered in leaflets, with her back to the camera. Behind the table are two members of staff. There is a large banner advertising the Genes and Health study. It says "One of the world's largest community-based genetics studies, aiming to improve the health among people of Pakistani and Bangladeshi heritage by analysing the genes and health of 100,000 volunteers" Three woman hold up leaflets advertising various pieces of research, including Be Part Of Research. One lady is holding up her hand, which is intricately painted with a band of henna Some children are gathered around a large wooden board, onto which they are gluing small coloured tiles which are stored in plastic boxes sorted by colour. The artist helping them is laughing and holding a box of pink petal-shaped tiles. The board has a nearly completed frame of different shades and shapes of green tiles. A wooden board with piles of different coloured green tiles. A young boy is being helped by a woman. They are gluing the tiles into a wide band around the board, which forms a mosaic frame.
