Trying to write a dystopian novel, but continually outdone by reality.
I prefer the earlier WWII demolition, when Olive Gibb's cousin persuaded a sympathetic Canadian tank crew to drive through it! Different explanations exist online (official report obviously had to be fixed) but Olive, and another cousin who worked at Trinity College, were both sure of it.

You could probably add Bretton Woods to that, given the current breakdown in international economic cooperation. See also the 'ancient woodland' that would be destroyed by building a new Oxpens cycle & pedestrian bridge. It's on the old Gas Works site!

Could it be a tech obsessed Elon Musk fanboy who misunderstands 'God Save the King'?
Current Us side is certainly far from Aryan, apart from a Pole & Belgian.
Maybe the floodlight was shining right in his eyes?

Don't forget the 'Stop war in Ukraine on day1'!

I'm still amused that her surname has several meanings, both of them unpleasant. One could add another verb usage in her honour, as in: 'They really trussed up their economy'.

Thanks are due to the rather strict steward supervisor for taking the picture.

Typical Swansea comment is: 'We're looking forward to seeing you. The party's already started'! Expect a very friendly reception.

Could be 10 - 0? That would certainly give the gd a boost!

Luton's inferior goal difference means they'll probably need 6 pts from the last 3 to overtake, even if Oxford lose all 4. Derby's form was looking best of the bottom sides, and now they're more vulnerable. Impossible to tell for sure if it's good news for us until a few more games are played...

Hard to believe, but getting a puncture and having to walk the bike home with a dodgy knee and foot (got back at 11:30) was only the second worst bit of the evening! Also lost the reading glasses that were broken earlier. At least it wasn't raining!

Postponing for 6 years would make much more sense, if his stated intentions were serious.

Shouldn't the horse be arse facing with its tail raised?

To experience the late push towards mid-table glory! After those Brocky Arsenal free kicks there must be a 'Special Fired Rice' headline somewhere. 7:15 Tonight?

Couldn't happen to a nastier bunch of people.

Rather spoilt by the right bracket not going after the question mark. Posting before you wake up properly is clearly as bad as when pissed!

If that's failed, I'm not sure if my erudition and highly appropriate Fr Ted reference have much chance.

Have realised why so many points are needed for safety this season. We're 7 points closer to Middlesborough/Bristol C (5&6th) than they are to Leeds - a few games ago that gap would have been even greater. Those ex-Prem League clubs (except Luton) are usually crushing most opposition- but not today!

We only had 2 bookings to their 3 as well. Generally appreciative feedback from Blades fans on BBC. Other results seem OK for us too.

Was so busy on the allotment I forgot to look!

Pochettino seemed rather surprised that Canada, Panama, and Mexico were so much better motivated than them. Hilarious!

That 'United' bit is looking increasingly inappropriate these days. Probably more divided than any time since the Civil War.

Just seen the highlights. Respect to the commentator for: 'Panamanian pandemonium'!

Weren't they supposed to be one of the 'shithole countries'? What does that make the country that loses to them?
March 22, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Sorry I missed it. Was out on a first ride in shorts & short sleeves this year.

It appears the Conservative ones are actually regressing now though!
