A personal favorite moment in the marsh: there were three snail kites, two of which jockeyed between eachother, the big brown female winning out and then a snail hunt, as per the species name. 🪶

A brown and black eastern towhee, gearing up to hop, on the shell gravel road A yellow rumped warbler looking ponderous in the dimly lit reeds. It's mostly mottled brown with a hit of yellow under the tail. A crow - probably fish crow - on a Do Not Enter road sign that's been grafitti'd Very well composed (somehow) shot of a common yellowthroat, an olive bird with a black mask over its eyes and a yellow throat as per the name, on some green reeds

Continuing the bird posting with some La Chua trail bird in Payne's Prairie. 🪶
A wood stork in the reeds with a fish in it's mouth. The wood stork is white with a crinkly old person head and long legs that go from black to pink. A Tricolored Heron in the leaves. It's mostly a grey blue with streaks of violent, especially on its neck, and white, with a yellow bill and legs. The head of a great blue heron. It's mostly grey and white, with a blue hairpiece that turns into a rat tail ponytail in the back, yellow eyes with a large black pupil and a yellow beak.
