OPINION via @theshumater.bsky.social: The degree to which Arkansas Republicans are prepared to downplay, ignore or excuse the effects Trump’s tariffs are having on farmers would be comical — if agriculture were not our state’s largest industry and the linchpin of its rural economy.

We hear that democracy support in decline. I believe this and it makes sense. Before November 2024 Democrats and maga supported democracy, but for different reasons - Democrats for the principle, maga - to get to power peacefully. After November 2024 maga, while in power, does not support democracy.
