Honestly, in the past few weeks it has been looking like you've got that under control yourselves.

I'm still trying to figure out what you think the problem is... I notice your profile doesn't say "reading comprehension person," so fair play I suppose. It seems like you think that I think that analysing a subset of respondents is the entire problem. And... no. That's not the point I'm making.

No, that's a misreading of the graph. It's a maximum of 16% of teens. This shows that 16% of teens who use social media use Twitter, not 16% of teens overall.

Haha, awesome condescension! So what did you ask Santa for this year?
December 16, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Among teens who are using online social platforms, YouTube is the most popular. But we cannot tell from this how popular online social platforms are with teens overall. How many are simply not online?
December 16, 2025 at 8:42 PM
Wait - it says right on your own graph "Those who did not give an answer are not shown." So it's not "roughly nine-in-ten teens report ever using [YouTube]," it's "roughly nine-in-ten teens who report using any of the platforms in the first place have used YouTube."

Oh no! Has he tried cleaning his room??

Am I saying that you should do nothing about crimes against children? No, of course not! I'm saying the opposite. Those who support this move are just not thinking very maturely. It's a populist move with little substance. That's my point. No thank you to populism.
December 11, 2025 at 2:43 AM
Ahh this kinda sucks though, right? Like, no one wants to be "soft on crime" so you dont get criticized for this, but it's a dumb, blunt, old fashioned approach that has never before, and will not now, meaningfully help reduce crime or improve Canadian lives. Be smarter.

As a Canadian I can tell you that, while I'm eager to start rebuilding the relationship between our countries, massive permanent damage has already long since been done. I love the land and many of the people of America, but I will never ever have the same relationship with the country again.

I was already safe in community, thank you very much. This is not what I want our money to be spent on.

Hm. I have now searched for the term and realized that I am about the 8 billionth person to come up with it. Never mind.

If "they're unsafe" is sufficient reason to "ban them" then goodbye cars/trucks/SUVs on neighbourhood streets! I ride an e-scooter daily, which (along with my bike, transit, etc) allows me to get around without owning a car. By far the most significant danger involved is the risk of cars hitting me!

Wait, did something happen??
November 19, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Haha, yeah looks like it was a rotating heart, with a weird aliasing effect across pixels.
November 16, 2025 at 7:35 PM
It might be a heart, but the image didn't translate well to the weird spherical low-res triangle/hexagon display it has to show up on. Or, if it was rotating around the dome, sometimes shapes get distorted a bit as they rotate across the weird hexagonal pixels.

That miiight be the logo of one of the sponsor organizations, but I don't think so. Now I want to find out what the vision was for whatever the blob shape is!

Not exactly sure what that pattern is, but the colours are for the "Girls in STEAM Summit" today. Big special thing for students to meet and talk with women in high level science/tech careers.
