Asking that question indicates that you don't know what the problem is. The People are at war but not Red v Blue but the 99% v 1%. Currently the 1% own the Democratic leadership establishment. So no "can't" change, THEY DON'T WANT TO CHANGE. They are doing exactly what their owners want.

One reason is that too many people don't understand. They really want to think that we have a Blue vs Red war and that the Blue is good and Red is bad. So why don't the Blue ever fight the Red at the top? They spat but they all work for the American Oligarchy. They work for Big Money.

Agree but it's more than just religion. No one teaches us to be skeptical especially of authority. Most are taught to blindly trust (have faith in) parents, teachers, coaches, scout leaders, etc. Most of Americans believed in the WMD lie that our government and corporate run news media spread.

While the "economy" was great, the working class suffered. You see measuring how well the economy is doing doesn't include how the working class is doing. Both parties ditched the working class in the 1980's and '90's.

I agree that trying to fight for freedom and liberty ends up futile. Most people have blinding faith in their authority figures. Robert Reich says that our system looks and smells like an oligarchy run system. What do you think?
