“It's all one ghetto, man. A giant gutter in outer space.”
Almost another 2nd half throw but great turnaround.
Bernardo ❤️

Now just imagine we didn't throw away 6 points against Brighton, Chelsea and Spurs (over the last month alone). Should realistically be level but least still in it.

They are not a great team yet. That's all.
They are a competent team that plays the way they do to put them in the best position to win things. Making winning trophies critical to greatness. If they don't win they will remain a competent team.
Personally I'd love a competent team right about now.

Exactly my point, they are inferior which has allowed Arsenal to take advantage by implementing a more practical approach.

They don't need to get 90+ points because the other teams aren't consistent or strong enough to even maintain a 2-0 HT lead over a team 14th in the league with 11 injuries.
February 1, 2026 at 8:00 PM
I mean Pep's City and Klopp's Liverpool were getting 95+ points just couple years ago. Their standards and performances have slipped, allowing a more practical approach to succeed.
February 1, 2026 at 7:47 PM
In terms of how they play yes they were competent but had more than this Arsenal. Leicester 15/16 would be another good example.

The difference for Chelsea was their continued success. If Arsenal translate this to continued success and silverware then it'd be a great team.

But competent is what they are. They are built on being solid defensively, great all-rounder midfielders and take advantage of set pieces. That's a competent team, they basically min-max it.

It's an inditement on the other contenders that essentially allows Arsenal to play safe but win the league.
February 1, 2026 at 7:31 PM
It's not about the strength of the league, it's the lack of strength from the contenders. City can't see out games and struggle to make chances. They aren't consistent in anyway.

Arsenal have adapted to be practical. Not a sensational team but it'll win them the league which is all that matters.
February 1, 2026 at 7:15 PM
Like Liverpool last year, Arsenal are going to end up walking the league because they are competent, don't need to be great.

Since the turn of the year City are sleep walking and its abysmal. They can't put games to bed, can't take advantage of the obvious, struggle with any kind of urgency.

Fucking awful 2nd half yet again.
Arsenal should walk this.

Sick and tired of the complete inability/desire to play a through ball or anything over the top. Do it once and Haaland's in, so they never try again.
Oh and if Haaland could run front post once this season that would be great.

The hatred and fear and pain that EVERYONE is seemingly feeling, how do we fix that?

The world has created a monster that no-one knows how to stop. Anyone who can is the reason we are here and benefitting from it so are happy with this.

Peace in our time. I don't know how we get there.

Minneapolis is not going to get better.
As the government/Trump continues to push in the same direction, it'll spread and get worse.

In the UK Farage will take over and it'll happen here. Society as we know it is on the edge of collapse and our leaders are missing.

I hope I'm wrong. I really do.
January 25, 2026 at 1:26 AM
Like how do we get to some kind of normality again?

How do we get to a place where we are arguing about HS2 or something?
How does the USA recover internally never mind what their position is globally?
How do we stop the UK turning into that?

I just can't think of anything that saves us now.
January 25, 2026 at 1:26 AM
How? Seriously how? Hand comes out, it hits it. How was that a natural position when both arms are out.

Sent to screen and for the first time in what, years it’s not given. Absolute ridiculous.
January 24, 2026 at 3:42 PM
This is not the endgame. This is like the halfway point. Do better.
January 23, 2026 at 12:48 AM
Embarrassing performances in 2026. Only saving grace is not out of any competitions. Other than that it's been pathetic.

Should be really easy for the Tories at the moment. Issue seemingly is they need to be tied to the Brexit, anti-immigration, further right approach that they over the last decade.

Can't see them stepping back from that anytime soon even if they wanted to. Too ingrained to just turn on a dime.

Where does that money go? Trumpcoin? Yeh nah. Sounds like the orange fascist is trying to create another corrupt revenue stream for himself.
