Fair point! I have to say I've never really considered what my motivation is for finding new content to consume is. 10-15 years ago discovering new creators was a very organic process- throw a bunch of interesting blogs and a few niche news sources in an RSS readers and discover new stuff.

I generally stick to algorithmically curated feeds simply for the sake of having a way to discover new creators. I'm not sure there's a more efficient alternative?

Seems far worse to rank whoever replies to a post first? Maybe it's not an issue yet, but there's no way people wouldn't take advantage of that and use bots to reply to posts nearly immediately

Opinions are subjective and cannot be right or wrong, but you can certainly disagree with it

I don't have any intention of blocking you and I think this conversation has been fine.

The only reason I even question your original post is because I'm of the opinion that a lot of people feel platforms owe them something when you can opt to just not use them.

I'm just trying to understand what there is to gain from joining a platform to complain about it, especially when there's an alternative you already enjoy.
