I had the great pleasure of helping to staff the King's Birthday Party in Mogadishu yesterday. During the festivities we heard the brilliant poem by Zahra Abdihaye entitled: (Ruunta) Hadi Kale Waxaan Laha. I think it means 'I still have the truth'. If you have a better translation let me know.

Positive news that both leading candidates are committed to respecting the results.
UPDATE on Somaliland Elections: Sitting President is currently leading in the capital, Hargeisa, but trailing in other regions. While some reports of irregularities have emerged, tensions are cooling. In a recent speech, Bihi assured that if he loses, he’ll step down peacefully. Counting continues.
