Shoutout to the shadow fleet for stress-testing AIS by broadcasting the same MMSI from multiple ships. Glad to see they’re keeping the tradition alive: free, unscheduled pentests for the maritime world. Who needs QA when oil tankers do chaos engineering?

Looks like Danish Police is starting to use drones for border enforcement.

Somehow I like that it says "POLITI" on the bottom, but unless it is glow-in-the dark, most people will end up calling the police about drone sightings :)

But, aesthetically, it looks like shit.

I dont think we should do zero tolerance. But currently we have full tolerance, which makes it a bit hard to be credible.

Following the interception of BORACAY / PUSHPA, two websites pretending to be the Benin Maritime Administration got removed from the Benin TLD (.bj). This was the websites that the false certificates pointed to.

This looks to me a lot like a government intervention

False flag should be enough (UNCLOS article 110), but international waters is considered so sacred, that people do not dare.

Plenty of national water in DK they pass through though.
